Firmware Update 1.20 for Nikon's V1 and J1 interchangeable lens mirrorless cameras improves Auto ISO performance, reduces blur when shooting in Programmed Auto or Smart Photo Selector, and gives better exposures when using an external flash.
Tetsuya Yamamoto, General Manager of Nikon's Development Headquarters, has outlined plans for the Nikon 1 system in an interview with DP Review. Yamamoto raises the possibility of future 4K support for the system, and says the company is working on lenses with faster apertures.
The Nikon FT1, an adapter that converts F-mount lenses for use on the Nikon 1 mirrorless camera system, goes on sale in Japan December 22nd, priced at 22,310 yen. The adapter works with most F-mount lenses and supports autofocus for some, but users will have to deal with a 2.7x crop factor.
