Sony PlayStation Analog Joystick

The Sony PlayStation Analog Joystick was released in 1996 for the Sony PlayStation home console as a way to offer customers better fine grain control over their movement in many new games. The Analog Joystick was not particularly popular being that there were only very few games made compatible with the peripheral. It interfaced with the PlayStation through a standard controller port and offered all of the standard buttons and controls.
