If a new website stays online, it could change your Pokémon Go game in a big way. Someone has put the Pokémon Go mapping data we wrote about Tuesday and into a far more accessible map tool that you can use to search for pokémon online. The site, called PokéVision, lets you type in your address and view a map showing the exact location of nearby pokémon along with individual clocks counting down their availability at the location. That makes it far easier to use than the other tool, which requires use of the command line.
Be warned that PokéVision isn't always responsive. Sometimes the website won't load and other times it takes a long time to display your results. This is in part because Niantic's Pokémon Go servers aren't doing that well, compounded by the fact that PokéVision's servers likely aren't doing that well. The Verge's Ben Popper used the map to find some pokémon this morning — so if you can get it working, it could be a great way to catch, well, at least all of the Pidgeys and Rattatas around you.
