Yesterday morning Isaac Brock, the lead singer of ‘00s indie rock band Modest Mouse, crashed his SUV into a City of Portland pickup truck. The truck then crashed into a Subaru, which crashed into another Subaru, which may have crashed into an unidentified fifth vehicle that left before officials arrived. According to The Associated Press, Brock claimed to have fallen asleep at the wheel.
That nobody was seriously injured — let alone killed — is fortunate, because now the internet can carve this beast for its various meaty cuts without the suffocating weight of shame. Here’s a non-definitive list of what is funny about a very serious accident that could have ended tragically.
The car wreck sounds an awful lot like the beginning of Modest Mouse’s "Float On":
is this the same fucking guy who backed his car into a cop car the other day https://t.co/VUwbSIqJUN

"Float On" appeared on Good News for People Who Love Bad News, which is a macabre way to describe a car wreck:

"An indie singer crashed into a city vehicle and multiple Subarus in Portland" is a B-story in a Portlandia spec script:

Not drunk, not high, not on any drugs. Just tired.
Modest Mouse fans still love Modest Mouse:
Seeing a lot of Modest Mouse slander in my TL today and let me tell you I am not having it

Whatever this is:
I think about that tweet about the singer of modest mouse sounding like he's being attacked with a hose all the time
