It just works.

What’s the point of this Plus when the regular XPS 13 is already so good? Also, how is the OLED version heavier than the non-OLED? That makes no sense.

It’d help if you knew more about these products. For example, the Bluetooth modules are integrated into the WiFi chips for computers. They are not separate items. Also, displays and their controllers are different depending on the applications. The ones for automobiles have much more stringent requirements compared to consumer electronics. Also, the power consumption are more on the industrial side than the consumer side when it comes to usage.
Just because a car and a laptop have Bluetooth, that doesn’t mean the modules are remotely the same. So, Apple may go to Broadcom, who may go to Samsung to make their wifi chips. Ford may go to Broadcom, who may go to Renesas for their BT chips. Or Ford may go straight to Renesas.

They certainly aren’t competing with Ford and GM for the same types of chips. Again, different applications.

Parts shortage leading to poor sales is a believable lie. The chip shortage glut is not what you think it is, and it doesn’t affect every application. The shortage is mostly affecting low-end semiconductor components, not the high-end products. This is common knowledge. It’s why applications like automobiles are having a rough time while PCs are not. Certainly not advanced products like GPUs.

Are people really falling for the "parts shortage" excuse Apple is giving? On this very same site, on the PC side, people are simply buying less PCs. The boom year of 2021 is over, and Apple is not immune. Everyone is buying less of everything. Outside the energy sector, it’s a bloodbath all over Wall Street. Will Apple blame China lockdowns in their next quarter for why iPhone and Mac sales are cratering? We shall see…

Good point but I don’t think most iPhone users care either. Windows has a 80-90% penetration level here in the US. iPhone has a 50% penetration level, which means that a huge majority of iPhone users are Windows users just don’t see the value in owning a Mac. When all is said and done, people care about their data and their services and that is where Google (and Microsoft) shines. A lot of the features you mentioned are trinkets compared to getting the aforementioned data and services anywhere, anytime.

Why do you need MS in the picture when Google can do all the work on both ends? Besides, a lot of these services are cloud-based so the days of relying on the operating system are dead. Google sends all my texts via email, which allows me to archive them in Gmail or Outlook if I so choose. Can’t do that with iOS/MacOS.

No, it’s only cultural appropriation when white people do it. When non-whites do it it’s not racist. Stupid, I know.

Consider me piqued. Not sure how good of an actor he is but his singing can be heavenly.

What does that have to do with what I said?

Trash speed. Crazy how the computer is being held back because Apple decided to cheapen out on the storage. These drives are supposed to be PCie Gen 4 speed, right? Remember, once you’ve made the decision to buy this storage capacity, you cannot upgrade later down the road.

Nissan has a habit of leaving a lot of the products on the vine for their competitors to catch-up and surpass them. Same story with the GT-R. Essentially the same damn car for 16 years.

There’s got to be a way around this. Perhaps run it in some emulation mode?

Best to wait for the American version.

So you buy the car with the hardware, and they want to turn the hardware that you purchased into a service? A HaaS? Fuck them. No way this should be legal. Today it’s heated seats. Tomorow? Air conditioning? Who knows. Where will it end?
