This doesn’t surprise me at all. Every game that’s "scheduled" to come out in the next 2-3 years should just immediately add 1 or 2 years to it’s "release date".
I don’t think that WFH or "Hybrid WFH" is working nearly as well as employees think it is. Every single game release date and product launch for the last couple of years has been pushed back at least a year, been released lacking features or has just been a complete cluster. People are either not focused enough on their work, not working to their previous efficiency or not collaborating enough with their peers and things are falling behind and falling through the cracks. Employees may want to stay home, have a 0 minute commute to the office, work in their pajamas, watch Judge Judy while doing their laundry and baking banana bread in between getting their actual tasks done, but this will continue to happen over and over and over.
