It does look pretty amazing. Especially if it can run any windows application or at least Remote Desktop.

Well, that would be one way for it to be dead on arrival. It is just a rumor, and perhaps that was the chip in the engineering prototype or something. Either way, it looks like I’m waiting till Fall for a new watch. It will be some sort of WearOS 3 watch, or sticking with my Garmin. If the Samsung watches had all features work fine with my Pixel, have Google assistant running, and none of the Samsung bloatware, or features locked to my Samsung phone I’d buy one of those. Both of the ones in the picture above are better looking than either the Pixel Watch, or the Apple Watch.

I recently started using my chromebook for a Python programming class, and the 3 year old M3 chip, with only 4GB, and 32GBeMMC wasn’t cutting it. It worked alright once I was in something, but switching to Chrome or something else could lead to a lag of up to a minute or more. So I went ahead and got the 713 with i5, 8GB, and 256GB SSD on Amazon from the Acer Refurb store for only $442. Really hard to beat that deal. I’d expect the same configuration new, with 12th gen to be $799, and of course something like this Dragonfly in the article, doesn’t come close in value. Anyway, the chromebook came, it looks brand new and works great. Same weight as my previous chromebook, but almost 2 inch bigger screen. The speakers are on the soft side as reviews have noted, so I just paired up one of my bluetooth speakers to use with it, when I’m using it for guitar lessons, or playing along with songs. Basically couldn’t wait for 12th gen, and happy I didn’t.

Agreed, just got a Spin 713 with the 11th gen i5, 8GB, and 256GB SSD, and 2k 3:2 display with Iris graphics for $450. This Dragonfly is overpriced.

I wonder if they’re going to be coming out with a new version of the Spin 713 with the 12th-gen i5 chips. It’s been about 11 months since the current version of the Spin 713 launched.

I think the style could be summed up as "bland and inoffensive", basically a round version of the Apple Watch. I’m certainly not in love with it, but I don’t hate it. If it has the features I want, I expect that I’ll get it.

Supposed to be two sizes. Not sure which one this is. It does look a little thick for the size, so might be the smaller one.

It looks to me too much like they were trying to copy Apple Watch style, but round. It certainly doesn’t make you go "wow", but it is inoffensive. If it has the features I want, like on-board music, LTE on a Fi plan, and being able to take calls (with my Pixel Buds) and respond to texts, without having to have my phone with me all the time, I’ll buy it.

Square is dumb for a smart watch. Rectangular is obviously better. So much lost real estate with square.

As long as it keeps working, they’ll keep doing it. Heck, it worked on you. They got a click on the article and TWO comments. Always good for moving up in those all important search results. Not surprising that Google knows how to work those algorithms.
