I think this review misses the point. There are people out there who want some minimal smart features but without the privacy invasion that comes with fully fledged devices. This looks like a great "fade into the background" type device. Looks like a regular alarm clock but with smarter options to set the alarm.
I’d prefer it if the speech recognition was onboard rather than using Alexa, but I am very picky about what I allow in my home.
