The UK Govt should never have approved the sale of ARM to Softbank in the first place, it’s a vastly important strategic asset.

The main sensor is already a wide angle lens, while the wider version is an ultra-wide and brings a lot of distortion.
Try this experiment – take a picture of someone’s face with the ultra-wide, the regular/wide and the telephoto, adjusting your distance to give similar results. The telephoto lens shot will look nicest.
Switching from telephoto to ultra-wide on phones with only two lenses was a massive mistake in my opinion, and forces me to carry a phone much larger (and more expensive) than I’d like.

I’ve ordered one (the base 6 Pro in black) after being really impressed with the livestream yesterday, but have got a bit of buyers remorse. It’s replacing an S10+ which has far exceeded my expectations.
Looking forward to the full review and finding out how the cameras and battery life measure up.
(The best thing about the S10+ is it has both ultra wide and telephoto lenses, great battery life, and is still relatively compact for a + sized phone. Not the biggest fan of OneUI but switching to Google apps and Nova has made it fairly Pixel-like.)

Yes I was surprised to see these phones being called generic. Other reviewers are saying that regardless of whether they like the design or not, it’s definitely unique.
