Apple has done it for years, yet nobody else can seem to figure it out – you order an iPhone on launch day, you get a shipping window. Done. There’s never a ‘sold out’ button.
OEM’s should do this, so should Sony and MS – there’s no excuse in 2021 for any of this, but retailers just don’t care.
I switched to Apple Music via their Apple One plan. Really just wanted iCloud storage to back up all my Apple devices & to try Apple Music lossless.
I couldn’t care less about Apple TV+, Arcade, Fitness, News etc…
Almost a year in and I regret the decision immensely!
Apple Music is buggy, their music app on most platforms are trash. Lossless isn’t that amazing. It’s nice but I can live with out it. Song recommendation is no where near as good as Spotify. Interface isn’t as good as Spotify. Definitely miss Spotify’s year end wrap-up. So many things. SMDH
Now I’m seriously thinking about switching back. I’m just patiently waiting for Spotify to release their lossless tier and seeing how they go about pricing.
Spotify > Apple Music → it’s not even close.
First, you didn’t say a single thing about your family – you said it was for your Apple devices, mainly for iCloud storage, which you can upgrade without Apple One. A month is plenty long to give a service ‘a shot’ – and if lossless ’doesn’t matter’ to you, there’s no reason you should be waiting for Spotify if you ’don’t really care that much’ about lossless to begin with.
For someone who CAPITALIZES things to emphasize things you never even said in your first comment, maybe you should understand that people can’t miss things that were never there.

Lmao – ‘Almost a year in and I regret the decision immensely’…you do know you could have canceled after one month, right?
Lossless isn’t that amazing, but it’s the one thing making you wait to switch back?
I mean, come on, this whole comment is satire right?

I mean, it’s pretty easy.
As someone who uses both iOS and Android extensively, I still prefer Apple Music for many reasons, but I do wish they added some more statistics to Replay.

Scalpers are the worst people. I do wish Sony/MS/Nintendo would go the Apple (and apparently only temporary) EVGA and Steam Deck route and just let you order and get in line. Then if you happen to score one somewhere else sooner, just cancel the order. But I think they like the publicity, the constant news cycles of it selling out, etc. They don’t really care that scalpers buy them.

Something tells me you’re right on this one. Though that would be pretty funny to see – "I hate you, but I have to admit it’s a great laptop".
