A cheap TV.
And it’s pretty hard to buy a TV that isn’t "smart" anymore.

For starters Microsoft finally submitted to using Google’s web rendering engine for everything web related that they create, which is no small deal.
I also think Google is gearing up to better support Windows which is somewhat evidenced right now by them discontinuing a lot of Desktop products that are likely being completely reworked at the moment, like Drive integration. Not to mention all the Android phone integrations that are continually getting better.

It isn’t coded directly, the Google Assistant’s biggest advantage is having access to Google, really, and its ability to read those quick excerpts that Google returns sometimes when you type questions in.
If you type that question in, you’ll see the result sporkinum mentioned, which is an answer to a Quora question.
