This is what I used it for originally – then I found Moonlight, which is insanely good if you have a Nvidia GPU and somewhat faster ethernet to your home PC. I use this now when I’m at my cabin, and have my PC hooked to a smart switch in case it hard-freezes, along with Anydesk. I’d highly recommend you give it a shot, since it’s free.
