It is objectively better.
WE’re up against 25 years of calling MP3 high quality.
We’ve gone from quality sound systems to listening through earbuds that have less frequency range than average humans let alone the listenable frequency range.

Apple Music is just fine.
Safari is a world-class browser.
I develop for the web. And, outside of Chrome’s spyware offers as functional experience as you will ever find on the web.

Perhaps next time you will take your phone to an Apple Store and get its battery replaced.
I am all for Apple making this "right to repair" nonsense as difficult as possible.
After examining the right to repair movement it is:
1 Designed by companies like iFixit, which have a vested interest in diverting your dollars to them
2 Fanboi zealots who think they can control the desire of the majority of any products users.
Modern engineering creates sophisticated and complex solutions so that you can tiktok to your heart’s content. This is not changing the oil on your dad’s 1965 ch4evy.
You want lightness, sleekness, and complexity?
You’re not the person who can repair it.
The kit Apple ships should weigh a ton. and, the users who request it should be forced to hand deliver it back to Apple.

Einstein never owned a piece of modern tech.
This is the Dieter rams approach, which when applied vigorously creates the crap that Apple made under Ive.

Apple is the largest tech company and certainly the largest consumer electronics company.

Good idea. solves nothing.
This offers no meaningful solution to e-waste.
This is nothing but a fanboy green lie.

Many many people use this every day. And the esteemed, highly paid Verge reporter actds surprised by this?
Go back to your twitter feed. maybe it’s in there if you look hard enough.
More lazy "journalism by the "tech press."
do your job.

It’s software. It’s free.
The bullshit that apple costs more is that, bullshit.
Samsung, Google, and other premium phones are all expensive.

Points off for using "finally" in a tech story.
