Today, in news that surprises absolutely no one…
Apple’s next iPhone might be more [even more] expensive
There, I fixed it.

Same. The funny thing is that I was planning to get the bundle when my D+ expired; but now with the price hikes… nah, I’m good.

He really can’t.

Hulu has to license most of its content. Disney+ does not. Therefore, Hulu is more expensive.

It’s the player’s customizable character called "The Hunter".

If your tax rate is, say the current corporate tax rate of 21%, then you save $21 in taxes for every $100 you spend in which case you are still down $79.
Exactly, and if that hypothetical $79 is part of a net operating loss that’s carried forward, it will reduce their tax liability now and for however long it’s carried in the future. Granted, for that to be the case, their allowable deductions would have to exceed their taxable income; however, given the purported losses Warner Bros. was having, it’s quite possible that Warner/Disc is on a carryforward NOL.

Yeah, I know everyone would hate it or ignore one; but I would be willing to try separate vertical and horizontal feeds in the app. And any upload is automatically sorted into one based on its inherent aspect ratio. Squares could be shown in both.

Yeah, I took that as they’re writing it off as a business expense. So they’re maximizing losses to minimize tax liability.

His name is John, not Don.

the article claims there’s some sort of specific tax benefit to doing it.
I didn’t get that impression. What are you referring to?

Batwoman is not Batgirl, as in not the same character. Also, I liked the show. I’ll admit that there was a lot going on with so many plot threads; but it really started coming into its own in season 3. I think a season 4 was set up to be quite good.

There’s a lot of things on there that have nothing to do with the big IP you mentioned: Euphoria, Genera+ion, Betty, I Hate Suzie, A Choice of Weapons, Barry, We Own This City, The White Lotus, Winning Time, Native Son… and that’s just off the top of my head. I have no idea what your tastes are but I guarantee there’s something on the service for you. Whether it’s enough to maintain a subscription in perpetuity, I can’t guarantee; but I’m quite certain you’ll like your sample months.

I’m in the same boat; but when all is said and done, I may not want to keep it anyway.

The game looks boring though with a lot of hit-sponges and disappointing graphics.

4:3 also isn’t a square.

Because they shit-canned the other GoT spinoff.

What Batgirl TV show?

Writing off $90 million instead of shelling out $150-$200 million to release it, depending on whether in theaters or digital only, is how it would be financially justified.

Nah, I’m good on that. He had his Joker. Given the style and tone of the movie, Joaquin’s Joker would fit right in with Robert’s Batman, even if he is a lot older. Regardless, Reeves likes Mr. Freeze for a second movie so that’s probably how that will go down.
