That off-center app screen is bothering me.

It’s equally usable when the phone is in your hand (phonecase permitting), but not so when the phone is sitting on a desk, face up, or when it’s on a wireless dock.

I get preferring having a fingerprint reader on the edge of a device where your fingers would naturally be located, but I’m not sure what the benefit of unlocking a phone when it’s facedown is. You’re going to have to flip it to see the screen anyway.

Bizarre-looking thing. Like the Wild Wacky Action Bike from South Park.

End of an era, indeed. I do wish they had not pulled support for the iPod Classic from iTunes. I have these old music files I’d like to copy over to some iPod Classics I have lying around and sadly current versions of iTunes don’t recognize the hardware. I tried installing older versions, but no luck, and not sure third party solutions exist that can do what I want.

Watchmen was absolutely electric for me, and the one recent show on HBO that I was really excited about (despite thoroughly enjoying others like Chernobyl, Succession, etc). With the departure of the original showrunner, however, I’m not sure the same creative vision will be there for subsequent seasons. Fingers crossed it stays strong.

I can’t say that I share your enthusiasm, unfortunately. The exponential decline in quality with each new season, with S3 being almost a parody of cheesy sci-fi of the kind you’d find on the SyFy channel left a sour taste in my mouth, and left me wishing I had stopped watching in S1. What worked so well in the small world of the park simply did not work well in the bigger world of human cities. (To say nothing of Dolores’ unfortunate transformation from complex and flawed fighter to banal murderbot). I will probably watch S4 at some point, but less due to hope and more because I usually try to finish stories as much as I can. Happy to be proven wrong, though.

Oh man, dat chonk. Reminds me of my old Nokia N900 somehow, which I was probably one of 12 people in the world to own. I loved that thing but it was thick, and weighed a ton (180g) compared to what most phones did at the time (120-130g). Now the latest gen phones are back at that range.
