Just to add to this, it doesn’t actually matter what temperature you set it to.
16°C or 21°C or 26°C always the same thing happens. Maybe you’re right and I’m feeling the air warming up from the radiators, but there’s definitely a drop or I wouldn’t feel cold later on.
Pre-Nest, my rads used to stay warm but not full on to keep the place nice. With Nest, they turn off completely. This has now been the same across two places I’ve lived with the Nest thermostat.
Never had my Hello go down! Don’t think I’ll be ‘upgrading’ however it’s good to at least get 3 hours recording FoC – I don’t pay for Nest Aware.

You can get the Nest Temperature Sensor for measuring in other rooms… https://store.google.com/us/product/nest_temperature_sensor?hl=en-US
I do like my Nest but the thing that annoys me is if you set it to say 21°C then it’ll warm the house up until it reaches there which is fine. You might start feeling a little cooler after say an hour… but the thermostat can take 3-4 hours to drop half a degree. Then it’ll chuck it back on again for 30 minutes until it’s back to 21°C – So you’re basically left with this cycle of 30 minutes of heating on throughout a 4 hour period. If you actually wanted to keep the heating on all evening in the winter, you’d have to set it manually to increase a degree every hour which is a bit silly!
The thing that’s annoyed me this year is the new iPhone (Pro) is actually cheaper… in the UK it was £999 with 64Gb, and the new ones are £949 with 128Gb.
So it’s frustrating that Surface prices have increased. Even with NHS discount (if they apply it) I can’t get the cheapest setup, with keyboard for less than £1,000
