If, like me, you read all the way to the end then you’ve just experienced the art of the scammer. Hooked by the intriguing headline twist you were a willing victim all the way to the somewhat unsatisfactory end. Only then did you realise, you’ve been taken for a ride.

Wow. So they could – presumably – have come up with any "human" they wanted to, any look, anything. And this was their choice. I guess if, maybe, they are trying to sound a warning over where this tech could take us, they’ve achieved their goal. I’m trying to be generous.

Um, "tech", "hardware", pretty much overlapping meanings. At which point your comment is silly: Complaining about the tech overall when you obviously have a hardware tech problem that is keeping it the tech from working properly is silly
