Hard disagree, it’s perfect. Readability of the number would suffer if it was a status bar, and the number tells us everything we need to know.

But disabling is not the same as managing. I’m an iOS user, but I tried a Pixel 6 Pro for a week recently and I miss the notification system most. More single press options within the notifications themselves without swiping left, more settings in the notifications settings for the apps (including categories for most), easier swiping away, visibility of the icons in the top left of the screen reducing habitual pull downs of the shade, app bubbles (counts on iOS) are usually removed when swiping the notifications away, Gmail notifications disappear when messages are read, less apps sleeping in the background and losing notifications altogether (like FBM on iOS), and so much more.

Tesla Model 3 Perf and Prius Prime family here. We also had two standard Priuses before that. Agree that the lack of allowing spinning the wheels was a huge annoyance on the originals, but our Prius Prime has actually been fantastic. And it was still eligible for a rebate which made it cheaper than the standard model for us, since the standard model was no longer eligible for a rebate. We use a tank of gas every 5-6 weeks, and with the recent increased costs of Supercharging, it’s actually about the same cost to take on trips as the Tesla.

I thought this was the reason behind separating Ford Blue from Ford Model E? My dealership salesperson told me that they cannot mark up my Lightning pre-order, Ford sends them the specs and price and they have to deliver it. Might not be the same in all states, but I suspect this was a big reason behind splitting the company in two.

They also support Bluetooth Multipoint which actually stays connected to two devices at the same time, no need for automatic switching if you only have two devices. I struggled with "automatic switching" between my AirPods Max and iPhone 13 Pro and 16" MBP for quite a while before disabling. Now I’m using Anker Soundcore Q35’s with Bluetooth Multipoint and it actually works great, which is surprising to be able to say for a Bluetooth standard.
