Nissan, like every car manufacturer other than Tesla, failed to see the importance of active accident prevention features and self-driving features.

Elon Musk’s exact quote on the issue: "With 10.1, it will creep forward with more confidence & quickly reverse back a little (just as a person would) if it sees danger"

Where are the sensors located? Particularly the front side facing sensors. Tesla has it about 2 or 3 feet behind the driver’s head when they lean forward to see cross-traffic in a blind intersection. That means a self-driving Tesla has to pull about 3 feet extra into cross-traffic in an intersection than a human driver would. And yes this has been tested, there are numerous videos in YouTube. Even Elon Musk acknowledged it but said that the car would reverse rapidly "like a human would" if it juts too far into the intersection. If they would put a couple of extra side-facing cameras up near the headlights or in the front bumper groove, the car wouldn’t even need to creep much, other than to make it look real — if at all, at intersections.

Lame. Let me know when Ultra Cruise becomes available, assuming it even exists beyond some press releases. Are they even working on it?

Serious question, was the author of this article high? The logic applied is seriously flawed. One example the author rant about the Elon photograph makes no sense whatsoever.

We need a way to reward companies that have stable or low-growth revenue. Wall Street constantly clamoring for each quarter to show insane growth is bound to be unhealthy long term. It can lead to companies doing more and more desperate acts. Acts of dubious ethics.

Amazing graphics! The middle school kid who did all the CGI for this on his Chromebook over the weekend should get an A+.

Yes, but if it still develops a visible crease, it is useless. That is the most important thing they have to fix. Performance, camera, and other stuff like that are fine. Fix the damn crease.

They might need to defend themselves or others someday, like the guy at the mall in Indiana had to do a few days back. Then what?

Would be nice, except Android smartwatches are usually round .. which is not what I want.

I guess they are getting rid of the rotating bezel, can they put a Haptic Touch bezel then? I feel like a haptic bezel would work nearly as good as a physical bezel, maybe even equal or better. I definitely understand them wanting to get rid of mechanical moving parts which are harder to install during watch assembly and more expensive.

If they can innovate on price, as in .. if it’s dirt cheap, that could be a winner.

Examplify is literally the biggest piece of shit buggy software you can ever have. Sad that students are subject to that. I wonder how many great students lost their potential in life thanks to it.

I think he wanted to do more stuff for Ferrari, which conflicts with Apple’s automobile ambitions. Just as well, he’s made his contribution. His influence, mindset, and ideas on design will remain and others can build on that.
I am not sure if I would want him messing with the interior of a Ferrari, especially the dash and controls. Still, I am curious what he’d do.

This phone annoys me. They had the chance to make it innovative but they messed up. If a phone has no innovative features, then it must at least innovate on price point. If you can’t contribute groundbreaking original functionality then at least contribute by making it cheaper.
There is simply nothing innovative about this phone, seems like they expect to make money from hype. I guess that works sometimes.
