Fuel cells are extremely expensive and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. The limits of hydrogen storage in a vehicle mean that it gets about the same range as an EV. It is significantly more difficult to determine how much hydrogen is left in your tank. And then where do you get your hydrogen? You have to make it. Steam reformation of methane produces greenhouse gases, and that is currently the main source of hydrogen. Electrolysis of water requires electric power, and uses it rather inefficiently. In any case, introducing an intermediate step between electric power and vehicle is inherently less efficient. You can’t beat thermodynamics.
Currently, a mid range fuel cell vehicle costs as much as the highest end F150. That may drop with expanded production.
My prediction, for whatever it is worth, is that BEVs are here to stay, but eventually the lithium battery will be replaced by supercapacitors. They will charge in minutes, not hours, do not run the risk of suddenly bursting into flames, and will not degrade over time. But that is quite a long way off. Currently, range on a charge is on the order of 10 miles, so they are only used in applications like city buses by installing an overhead charger at every stop.
What makes you think hydrogen research stopped? It hasn’t.

And here I was thinking nothing could make him dorkier. You learn something new every day.

What makes you think your expectations should be catered to? And what makes you think that violating those expectations is not a legitimate dramatic choice?

Dell chips their chargers, like Apple. If you forget yours at home, and think you can just plug in any USB charger and get by, you can’t. You’ll be scolded for daring to use a non-Dell charger, your CPU will be throttled to its absolute lowest state and your screen to its absolute lowest brightness.
I bought an XPS 13 but it will be the last Dell I ever own. I forget things all the time. But I cannot afford to be left at work with a dead computer. If you can, go for it.

The ur-problem is that Musk is just not al that smart. He substitutes ego and bullshit for thought.
If I had to guess, his main problem with Twitter is that it does not allow him to call random people pedophiles or make stupid and antiscientific pronouncement about COVID.
Twitter is already a vituperative sewer that mainly functions to amplify detestable people. Frankly, I think the end point under Musk management will be for Twitter to become the new MySpace, dissolving in a cloud of conspiracy theories and porn.

He hasn’t wrecked it yet. When Twitter becomes a complete sewer (likely shortly after Trump is reinstated), this vanity project will wind down.I suspect banks only funded it to get in on the ground floor of an expected SpaceX IPO. After all, Twitter famously can’t make any money.

But the most interesting thing is that the word "Asus," famously prominent on Zenbook lids, has been replaced with a new arrow-shaped logo.

YTA. I can’t stress this enough: do not write lore for a video game that isn’t based on your own life/experience.
I get it, you love video games and you wanted to contribute something to the community, but unless you’ve actually been in a war or had a really traumatic experience (which would make great basis for an amazing horror story) don’t try to base something on real-life events.

Are employees allowed to decide to slow down a bit so they don’t have to carry pee bottles around with them? I didn’t think so. Treating workers like interchangeable robots is at the root of Amazon organizing, and it is in the company’s power to change that whenever they want. They just don’t want to.
Amazon claims the relationship with the union will be adversarial. That is also in Amazon’s power to avoid. Acknowledge the vote, welcome the union and invite them to collaborate in finding better and more humane ways to run the company.
Fat chance of that. If you’re a baby Gordon Gecko MBA, no way you will let anyone have a say in you doing whatever you want whenever you want to whomever you want. THAT is what drives union organizing and THAT is in Amazon’s power to change whenever they want to.

Seems like the solution here is to print a label directly on the food using the edible ink that bakers use. It is biodegradable.

Compostable plastic has to be processed at high heat in a commercial composter. It will not degrade in a homeowner’s compost pile. It is basically greenwashing.
