This was something they talked about in their initial pitch, but never actually made a move on it until now apparently. Just bizarre that they’d wait until after their chance as all but passed them.

2 takeaways that’ve kind of lowered my interest in it. It’s not a "free" Nintendo Online service kind of game (Tetris 99), and it’s much less players per match than anticipated.

Oh for sure about season 2. Same with Arcane. Season 1 was a masterpiece, but I’m not even excited for season 2 because realistically that’d set it up for failure ahead of time.
All being the same is honestly a good thing in my book. The real horror is when they’re not. Take Paramount+ for instance. The app is fine, but if you’re trying to access it on a computer, well, good LUCK. Each pause means an obnoxious picture-n-picture fullscreen watermark, one that brakes the entire player after only a couple pauses, the search functionality is finicky and unreliable, the way its content is sorted feels like its actively hiding shows from you, and the account management is so broken that I had the paid-tier after cancelling for many months afterward without the system snapping back.
It and Hulu feel like you’re watching a 480p stream on browser, and the former struggles hard on notebooks that don’t have a good CPU. Hell, even just the difference between my 10th gen notebook and 11th gen is night-and-day.

Prime has a dedicated button for that, and I haven’t run into issues with it in the same way as how Netflix will sometimes decide to start the next episode at its last placemarker (aka, the very end). But apart from that, I get what you’re saying. It should not be this finicky to simply rewatch something.

I was blown away when I realized Weathering With You kept Your Name’s continuity, and that made Weathering’s ending incredibly exciting for whatever came next. This looks to be exactly that, and while it’ll undoubtedly not have any plot relevance (they aren’t trying to do an MCU thing, it’s just extended cameos), I’m still interested to see how previous characters will appear.
