Dumb question: how is this a chip shortage issue when Switch (including OLED version) has always been in stock during this time, at least in the US?

and even getting the carrier’s IT department to reset higher-ups’ passwords
Looks like T-mobile has some serious security issues

Makes me more convinced in my current setup — although it has quite a few more cables, it is modular, fully upgradable, not locked-in, and there is no single point of failure. If the webcam stops working or if I want to use a better one, I simply replace it, and I’d never complain "why a $1,599 product has such crappy webcam".

I think Sergey Brin is attempting to smear his ex-wife, and I think he’s using his history with Elon Musk to do it.

worth pointing out it is not "the best" technically, but definitely the most popular one for the general population. And there is no replacement (in the US at least).

PC shipments experienced a big decline in the recent quarter … thanks to geopolitical tensions, inflation, and continued supply chain challenges.
Why not simply because people don’t need new laptops, especially when many of them purchased one in 2020 or 2021?

Uber is a company that connects passengers with drivers
If so Uber would be charging a $2 "connection" fee per ride instead of managing all aspects of the ride and deciding how much a driver earns from each ride.

Nah, nothing new here. The same functionalities have been achieved by tons of other apps many years ago. The article reads like full-text search is an invention or something.

"could" or "should" is meaningless here. No medium or large company will ever consider the possibility of using LibreOffice. No, not going to happen. Sorry.

You’d better back that up with real numbers and reports instead of just imagination.

The average person is not using their computer for work, they use it for school and watching YouTube and zoom calls and as such.
Who said so? And why can’t someone use dual monitor for school?

I’d love to get the password to Andy’s personal email and then "commit not to open his inbox and read through the emails"

using the code opalverge
well this is high-pressure sales.
And I went back to look at that review. Many commenters pointed out that the review itself was very disappointing due to lack of real material.
Verge, please, if you want to promote something for money, at least make your articles up to your standards, which is not a very high bar already.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this thing is dead within a year.
Honestly I don’t understand why anyone would think in the year 2022, it is a great idea to create yet another read-it-later app and imagine they can reinvent the experience. That ship has sailed a long time ago.
