Even if they end up calling Apple’s current implementation illegal, they aren’t saying Apple can’t have Apple Pay. They are saying Apple would no longer be allowed to fully deny access to NFC input to other Wallet App makers, making Apple Pay the only viable wallet app on iPhones. You could just like, not install a different wallet and the impact to you would be about zero.
