In an interview with Charlie Rose, Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg discuss such topics as Facebook's relationship with other giants like Apple, Google, and Amazon, and whether or not there will be a war between the four for the future.
Pressed on whether Facebook competes directly with these companies, the two responded that instead they intend for Facebook to be a platform on which others connect — providing the social technologies that other companies can plug into with their own products and services. Even so, Zuckerberg still sees direct competition from Google+, which he called a "little version of Facebook." He also talks briefly about his past conversations with Steve Jobs, noting that they both shared a desire to do more than just "build a company."
